Another(better?) option is https://www.rakuten.com/shop/asav.../?sku=R960 It comes out to $409+tax but you get $65.44 is Rakuten points or whatever they are called.

This is a good price. Same as Best Buy's, and Amazon's Black Friday price but available now.

Based on a lot of research, I believe the 960 is the sweet spot for features with floor mapping and value for Roombas.

Does this one do good with pet hair? 10% additional military discount makes this a nice deal.

Yes. Works great with dog and cat hair. We have one dog and 3 cats and there is no hair on the carpet or floors. So its picking up all the hair and dust. Best gadget we have bought ever!

Can anyone comment if it can run in the dark? Read that Roomba doesn't work in low light, and I want mine to run while I sleep.

How do you get $409? I see $449. Thanks.

I see 449 instead of 409. Are you using any coupon?

well it is a good price but I highly recommend roborock instead.
Owned iRobot 980 for 4 years, the battery still works for 40 mins, 50% chances to stuck under sofa during night, other chances are identifying my write-black-mixed carpet as "deep dirt" and keeping cleaning spots until battery drained.
I got roborock one month ago and it is much powerful. It cleans all cats hair on carpet and has a brighter light to see in the dark( home monitors catches its light every night). Not sure how roborock will last 4years later but right now i really satisfied.

I'd like to also comment about the Roborock s5 which I just got. It is surprisingly careful about not bumping things and the mapping is incredible. I mean I really didn't believe it when I saw how accurate it was. I looked and saw it map out every little area precisely. It did well on my large area rug and another smaller rug with tassels on the ends. My wife and I found ourselves just watching it clean the whole house for 41 minutes tonight.

Anyway I can comment that my mother in law also has the Roomba 980 and says she's very happy with it but she has only an area rug which is does well on.

Chase freedom card is having a cashback of 15%, max credit of $20. Discover and chase is also offering a 10% off on lowes gift cards that can be redeemed thru redeempoints. If you have points in discover card, you can redeem for lowes egift that they are delivering immediately after purchase. If you combine both then it will come way less than 399$ that's a good deal though.

Earn 15% back on your Lowe's purchase, with a $20.00 back maximum.
