I just got the latest Costco.com magazine and the Firman 3200W Peak Gas Generator will be on Sale between 11/26/19 - 12/22/19.

Normal price is $639.99

$499.99 Delivered after $140 OFF (Limit 5) (+Plus Tax)

Great for the PG&E power shut downs, or any power outages due to weather or down power lines.

This will be strong enough to power your refrigerator, WIFI, computers, lights, etc.
Make sure you calculate your power needed to make sure you are under the 2900W running power.

I have been looking at this generator and now will be a great time to buy.

A friend just picked this one up and he says it is really quiet for the size.

Been waiting for a sale on a higher wattage inverter generator other than the 2000 watt ones. This seems like a good price. Why the TD?

No personal experience with Firman so does anyone that has one can vouch for this brand? I currently have 2 Wen 2000 watt inverter generators and though they have served me well going on 3 years now, they have been acting up and have a feeling they are on their last leg.

I managed to buy 2 of the 2000 watt inverters from Aldi last week, but that deal was very hit and miss for most and this is a decent deal for delivery included plus more power.

Here is a YTube post of this gen.... Good Luck!

4.5 STARS from 444 Reviews @ Costco.com

Maybe the TD because $50 off from last year's price ($549.99) price isn't a good enough deal.

Like with anything, there are people that will have negative experiences. I take it for what it is worth, since some are really legit,

Nevertheless, if you are NOT happy with the Generator, Costco's return policy is one of the BEST!

What is Costco's return policy?
Risk-Free 100% Satisfaction Guarantee

On Merchandise: We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell, and will refund your purchase price, with the following exceptions:

Electronics: Costco will accept returns within 90 days (from the date the member received the merchandise) for Televisions, Tuner-Free Displays, Projectors, Major Appliances (refrigerators above 10 cu. ft., freezers, ranges, cooktops, over-the-range microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers), Computers, Touchscreen Tablets, Smart Watches, Cameras, Aerial Cameras (drones), Camcorders, MP3 players and Cellular Phones (return details will vary by carrier service contract).....

In addition to $140 off, I believe Costco was charging something like $99 for delivery. So $240 savings is a good deal. Putting this on my calendar to order when this is available next week.

This exact model does not have any review on Amazon, while Firman upper model (3300/3000W) have many scary reviews on performing issues...
Costco does have a great return policy, but Firman's customer service could be suck based on Amazon reviews...

Costco shows 4.5 Stars or 88% of 444 Reviewers giving this generator a 4 Star or Better.

You've provided a review for a different model, so difficult to make an apple to apple comparison.

Still a "good to know" contrast of this Firman Brand.... Thank you!

BTW... this generator has wheels and an extended handle to pull.

I'd probably wait for their Yamaha generator to go on sale.

Also, this is 98lbs. Seems pretty hefty.

I returned a gas powered pressure washer last week. They asked if it had gas, and I told them I emptied it. The other gentleman came to move it and said "it's still warm" and I told him because I ran it dry. He looked and confirmed and said thanks. No issues fwiw.

Unfortunately the Costco return policy doesn't do me any good when I need to run my sump pump in a storm and the gen doesn't start. Trying to figure out if I just need to buy a Honda.

I definitely would if reliability is a big concern for you. We have some Honda generators that we've run daily for years and they refuse to quit.

If you're using it to run your WiFi and a few things during an occasional outage I'm sure this is fine w/ Costco's warranty.

If you dont need an inverter generator, Walmart has a A-iPower 4000watt (3000w running) generator for $249:

Walmart generator [walmart.com]

I run one with a $99 pure sine wave battery backup for my computers and TV. Fridge is fine on just this. Minimal outlets, but does the job for a fridge or two, some lights, and computer.

My bet, although I have never met you, but I have spent my entire live living among humans, I would suggest go with the Honda.

You will always be waiting for the other shoe to fall. Me just thinking, that it will keep you up at night. More money but you will feel better. Even if you think the Honda is better. it will be. If you think the Firman will give you problems. it will. Noting wrong with this. Seems to be how Humans are wired. Your brain will come up with reasons it is a problem and wake you up at 3 am worrying. Your brain will come up with how reliable the Honda is. You need the Honda. you are a Honda Human. stick with your tribe.

Better to buy to much then to little.

For me and my tribe, I am going with the Firman. But I am not in your situation where you are in more of a problem if it doesn't work out. For me, Camping and every few years we lose power, no problem. This is a nice to have not a must have like you need.

Hmmm those 1 star reviews scare me. Especially the part about no customer service personnel calling them back. Might have to rethink this and maybe stick with the Wen brand.
