DEWALT DCS520B FLEXVOLT 60V MAX 6-1/2 in. Cordless TRACKSAW (Tool Only) $252.35

CPO Outlets is selling the tracksaw bare tool on sale at NewEgg.
I'm only seeing 350+ elsewhere, so seems like a steal.
Just upgraded my storage and tablesaw table so I figured I'd share it with the rest of you. Keep in mind the bare tool will not come with tracks or a battery.

Tracksaws are nice to have if you work with sheet goods.
Battery tracksaws are even better if you work with sheet goods and don't have a truck or trailer to transport them with.
Tracksaws can also be used to joint edges of rough-sawn lumber

FYI: This Dewalt track saw uses a proprietary rail. You can't use it for other track saws, and you can't use other track saw rails for it.

Makita, Festool, Wen, and a number of other tracksaw MFRs can use the same tracks.

I wouldn't bother trying to roll your own. At the "all in" numbers you mentioned, the Makita one is worth a look instead (I think it's generally more well-liked, plus it doesn't use a proprietary rail like the Dewalt):

Comes with a rail, and two sets of batteries for $499 - $25 off coupon.

The 6ah Flexvolt Battery and Charger is going for about $110 on eBay. Which brings this to about $362 shipped. The going rate for the tool plus battery and charger is $375. The 52 in track can be had for $80 shipped each, so that brings the investment to $535 for cutting a full sheet (excluding the track joining hardware). Not sure how DeWalt track fairs when you join it, I've read reports of extrusions not matching up well if they are made in different mill runs.

Not a bad price vs retail, and cheaper than any other system, but nothing different vs any other day of the week.

I have M18 tools and I wish Milwaukee would bring their EU version to the states.

I'm thinking about just making my own track and sleds using 8020 extrusions and glides. It's coming out cheaper than track only, if it works.

Super tempting. Looks like you would have to buy the track separately...which I assume kinda required.

Yeah. Seems like a good price but more then I'd spend without tracks.

That being said I've also not really seen these go on sale often. So if you really wanted one it would probably be a good opportunity. I've seen the Makita battery one go on sale a bunch

it's the new Newegg...
i'm sure they're Chinese Knockoffs Wink

but on a real note...
they're a store front, like everybody else now. these aren't actually "sold" by them, it's still CPO Outlets.

Got a circular saw track from harbor freight on sale 9.99 yesterday.
An edge guide / straight edge is not a track saw track

You got an edge guide [hfqpdb.com] for $10, which helps to make a straight cut with a regular old circular saw but is a far cry from a tracksaw.
