Target price matches, and carries this griddler, so you can use your Red Card to get an extra 5% off and free shipping. It looks like it normally runs about $80 on various sites, and Walmart has it for $50. So $40 doesn't seem too bad.

I have this and I have to say, it's one of those things that sits there 350 days out of the year. Not really worth it in my opinion - lots of cleaning involved but the griddles do come out and can be replaced with waffle shaped one

BTW, use lots of peanut oil with these electric grills, it does not burn like other oils and makes the "non stick" material last much longer.

Completely agree. I've had mine for a long time and don't use it often. When I first started living on my own, I thought something like this would be useful for me as I don't know how to cook and it seemed like a versatile/easy item. But honestly, this probably made the wrong impression on me. It simply doesn't get hot enough to sear meats and for a while, I just thought I was too dumb to follow recipes. And is not all that easy to clean, the non-stick aspect isn't very good and in the dishwasher, it often comes out with food still stuck on it.

It's fine for paninis and toasting sandwiches but that's about it, but even for those things, you probably can do just as good a job on a pan and toaster oven, respectively. For get a dedicate panini maker, which would take up less space.
