The monitor has a 60Hz refresh rate which is too slow for gaming IMO.

This monitor actually has a 75Hz refresh rate, though the Amazon listing confusingly lists 60 and 75 hertz on separate lines in the description. Here's a link to a question answered within the Amazon listing [amazon.com] to confirm.

75Hz is still be a bit slow for a dedicated gaming monitor, though you would need a pretty decent video card to push an average of 75 frames/minute at 2k before the the Hz would become the bottleneck.

This or wait for a deal on a U2719D?

I don't do any gaming anymore. Just light photo/video editing. Want to hook it up to my 2014 MacBook Pro.

If possible
I'm a little surprised by the recommendation of a VA panel for someone who's use case doesn't involve gaming (and does involve image editing, where IPS color accuracy would be helpful).

Or maybe you were offering a more general recommendation..? Certainly looks like a good deal, though more for gaming use than productivity.

This one was $285 for a two pack at Walmart. Price mistake, many had orders cancelled.

i have xf270hu, i think they share same case and speakers. My experience, consider there are no speakers, they can be only used for notifications, other than that, useless.

Thanks for correcting my mistake.;>) ... and I assume you meant 75 frames per second. LOL Yes, I was talking about a dedicated gaming rig. I have an RX 5700 XT graphics card.
