is it better to get the video doorbell 2 for 99 dollars or get the costco deal for 129 and you get the year of protect plus this would be my first ring doorbell so not sure what to go with
Always go with Costco. The protect plus plan itself is 100/year and includes cloud storage and enhanced features as well. Plus Costco is very good with returns.

I thought the costco deal is over

either way, looks to be about the same. ring plus is 30/yr
Costco deal just started , on till 12/2. And the plan included is protect plus plan which is 100/year. That makes the ring 2 just 29 ( not including taxes of course ).

well the cloud storage thing I can live without but if it gives live alerts and I can see video footage while Im away(Like if it happened a few hours prior, etc) than its worth it

FYI also works for the echo dot with clock.

It looks like to get the deal, you have to check out with Alexa. Alexa says there's a $10 savings, but in online cart it's showing normal price.
Can you confirm price on dot with clock?

You can get the basic plan from Ring which still offers recording for $3/month. However the costco deal seems great because the year plan is legitimately $100

Phone order worked for me using Alexa on Amazon music
Can you tell me how you did that? I don't have an Alexa device but Have prime and can get the amazon music ... was trying to avoid having the device because my husband job frowns upon having those in our homes

I'm using android app... Open amazon music app... On lower right corner, press on circle/Alexa logo.. Follow instructions in the post...

It's not working for me. Tried to order an echo and the price was $35.

Alexa was not working well and kept cutting herself off, too.

I am trying to understand what makes this is a hot deal? Possibly I am missing something which you all see. The product is worthless without the monthly subscription fee after the first month. According to many reviewers on Amazon, without subscription it is just an expensive door bell.

The ring is actually great without the monthly service. I guess it depends on what you want to use it for. I do not pay a monthly the service fee (and I never will). I don't need to see footage of someone who put a flyer on my door or dropped off a package. I just want to see who is at the door when they ring the bell. The doorbell rings, all of the alexa echos say someone is at the door. I open my phone and see who it is. Its almost always no one I care about so I ignore it. I don't have a peephole or side windows to see who is at the door, and I've always wanted a camera to check before I open it (before anyone comments I can not install a peephole in my door HA!). Finally last year I got a ring and its PERFECT! I no longer have to open the door blindly. If I check the live stream and no one is there, I know there's a package to get if I am expecting one or a flyer to take off the door (or my daughter came home, etc, etc). A live camera is great so if you don't want to pay the service there is a purpose for it if that's what you are looking for. FYI : )

It does work. You dont see the discount until checkout. When you get to the final review right before you hit place order you will see in the final pricing. You dont actually have to place the order to see it.

Alexa: -$12.99

Note of warning the $22 deal only works for one Echo Dot. I got pissed at Alexa after trying to order two and called Amazon about it.

If you want more than one read what I posted in the 3 Pack deal The_Spotter listed.

I feel like we will get a better deal on these next week. These echo devices will be almost free add on next week. i would have bought the flex if the night light motion sensor was included.
same here. gotta hold out. i can't imagine flex is that popular. maybe there will be a combo deal of sorts. flex by itself it worthless to me. need to incl at least the light or the motion.

I literally just ordered one of these that arrived today. I contacted customer support and they refused to price adjust. I told him how idiotic it was that we will both waste time and money returning the one I got and re-ordering it but he refused to adjust.I know they shortened the adjustment timeframe, but I thought you at least had a week. With all the money I spend with that giant you think it would earn some level of better customer service. smh.

I was just about to post this. While the $22 deal is only for 1 Echo Dot, they have promo code DOT3PACK which takes 3 units for $65 which makes them just under $22 each. That promo code says limit 1 per customer also, so you can get 1 or 3 at this price.
