According to the triple camel site, this is a historical low price on a 4 star spin bike at Amazon! I had an alert to let me know when it dropped below $200, which is below the average price and then I kept seeing this drop down to it's lowest ever at $145. It may not be a Peloton, but there are plenty of free spin classes on YouTube.

Thanks got one since the wife wanted one. It will be a laundry holder most likely.

I bought this model 4 years ago at this price. It gets used at least once a week. Still going strong. Highly recommend

The main advantage of this chain drive model is the Q factor (width of stance between pedals). This model is closer to a normal bike. The belt version and many other cheaper spin bikes are 2-3" wider than a standard road bike. This can cause some alignment issues and pain in your knees. This is the reason why I bought this model over others a few years ago at a higher price. But yes, a chain version certainly makes more noise.

Multiple reviews on amazon regarding poor quality of the petals. Anyone else have experience with this?

My experience with bicycles indicates that changing out pedals costs about $10 and 60 seconds of my time.

If you could afford it, I would suggest upgrading to the higher model with similar belt drive which is quieter for your housemates and neighbors.

  • Belt-Drive Mechanism: The smooth belt-drive mechanism is virtually maintenance free and quiet

This is a smoking deal. I bought this just over two years ago for $250 and it is well worth that price. Have not had any issues out of it and between my wife and I we use it about 3 times a week (to supplement on the days we don't go to the gym). It is very quiet even with the chain so there would be any issue using this indoor. We have it in the garage. Im 205# and strong (avg 240ish watts during spin class at the gym) and this flywheel has more than enough resistance. No issues with the pedals that I have had.

Only negative is no water bottle holder or iPad holder, etc. we just put a towel over the handles and set it on that and works great.

You can but a water bottle holder or cushier seat if you need. We don't.

At this price buy and don't even question it.

It is no Peloton but seems like a great deal at a fraction of the price.

I had this exact model. It was ok. I recommend changing the seat. The one that comes with it wasn't very comfortable.
