SAWS (and California) customers - Free Flume Water sensor AR (pay tax+shipping) Works with Alexa

Hey there SA,
San Antonio Water Supply (SAWS) has a $150 rebate for select Water Flow Sensors. If you choose Flume, it is virtually free (just pay shipping + taxes).
Ends Dec. 2, 2019

Unfortunately not for general SD population but for some 1.5 million SA residents, at least some of you should take advantage of this offer. Check your emails (and snail mails) for this offer.

Edit: Per Samuel1613, they have discount in Southern California as well to bring the cost down to $50

Options before Rebate as of today:
1. BUOY [buoy.ai] (coming soon)
2. FLO BY MOEN [meetflo.com] ($349 - $399)
3. PHYN or PHYN-PLUS [phyn.com] ($299 or $699)
4. STREAMLABS CONTROL [streamlabswater.com] (&599 - $649)
5. FLUME [flumewater.com] ($199 - $50 "SAWSSALE" - $150 online rebate)

It works with Alexa.
It will be installed outside over your existing water meter (usually close to the curb), so no plumbing or cutting of pipeline etc.
Since it is installed outside, I was concerned about it getting stolen, as it is not 'locked or secured'. So I chatted with online rep and he posited that the incentive to steal is mitigated because it is tied to a sensor which is housed inside your home and they cannot work without each other.
Battery operated (AA) and needs connection to WiFi.
This one doesn't have auto shut off as some others (which require plumbing and have higher price tag)

Dear SAWS Customer:

Avoid an unexpected high water bill and protect your home from costly water damage – all from your phone! The Flume Flow Sensor can help you keep an eye on your water use, including irrigation, and detect leaks early.

Flume installs easily in just minutes on your existing water meter and connects via Wi-Fi to your phone. The Flume app lets you see how much water you're using in real time and alerts you to possible leaks.

For a limited time, Flume is offering a special opportunity for SAWS customers to purchase the Flume Flow Sensor for $149 plus tax and shipping (Reg. $199). This offer is only available until Dec. 2, 2019.

Most SAWS residential water customers can pair this Flume sale with the SAWS $150 Flow Sensor Rebate, meaning you only pay the tax and shipping. Before you buy, learn more about the rebate program at GardenStyleSA.com/sensor.

Order soon! A limited number of Flume Water Sensors are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you have questions about the SAWS rebate, contact us at 210-704-SAVE (7283). For questions about the Flume, please click the chat icon on the Flume website or email Flume at support@flumetech.com.

Thank you for your water-saving efforts!

Holy Crap, my little town in southern california has a relationship discount with flume, I can get it for $50! Thanks!!!!!

Edit - OP, perhaps you should change your title to attract others (like myself), because my water district also had a discount with flume.

Hey Samuel - could you provide the link so that others can take advantage of the rebate in your region. Please see comments for this enquiry.

There's lots of water districts in Southern California (and in California, and in the U. S.) so I was just suggesting that flume may have a relationship with your water district, it's highly unlikely that my link will help you but if you live in Jurupa Valley, here you go! https://www.jcsd.us/services/wate...ions/flume

Also, I installed it in about 5 minutes, and it works as promised. Unknown if it will be good long term, but so far, so good.
