Certainly i7 is better. I am eying Craiglist after Christmas
surprise surprise the i5 SP7 is faster than i7 SP6.

Thanks to AMD, the notion of i5 and i7 is outdated. It is no longer unusual for older gen i7 to be out performed by newer gen i5, starting with the 8th gen which is when AMD Ryzen rises on the desktop.

This show how strong the intel brand is. People automatically associate i7 as fast and the best while it may not be the case. Go with the newer i5 rather than older i7.

Nice deal. Just keep in mind the 128GB SSD they use is much slower than the higher capacity SSDs they use. It's still faster than any mechanical drive though.

I got one at the Monterey Park Costco around 7:30pm. Ate dinner and opened the box and pen is missing 😔. Now have to go back. There's a slot at bottom of the box where it appears the pen should be. I peeled off the surface plastic thinking it's in that box. Also checked the keyboard box, nothing. 😔😔

That's crazy... how they steal it from the box.. it must be from someone who works in that location. I am so sorry to hear about your case, I hope Costco will take care of it for you.

Where can I find this information? I do not see it mentioned anywhere.?

I just picked up the 128gb model in-store last night. Contemplating returning it for the larger 256gb sold online only.

I can't find information on the 128GB model of the 7, but on last year's 6 model, there was a 30% difference between the 128GB model and the 256GB model. Notebookcheck has a review of the 6 with more information. I assumed it would be similar on the 7. However on the same website review of the 7 they said the 256GB SSD is faster than last year's, so maybe the 128GB is faster as well.

Is 8gb adequate for the avg user? No gaming, advance video production or anything of that sort.
I have 8Gb version of Surface Pro 6 and it works great for office work. Words, Excel, Power BI all works fine. Processor of SP7 is even faster so it will feel faster (even though same amount of RAM)

Does it drain badly when the screen is sleeping like some of the older Surfaces?

At least it has fast charge right?
