I usually go for the 10tb but it's often on sale for in the $150s.

Someone will eventually ask about shucking, so here goes. These are shuckable. What drive is inside depends on the model. The 6TB contains blues. I know this because I bought two. Can these be used in a NAS? If you're setting up a casual use home server for documents and occasional media streaming, blues are just fine. You don't need to worry about dropping the array in most personal NAS devices when the drives spin down because they don't use a hardware RAID.

From what I've read the Whites (re-labeled Reds) are in the larger models. If your NAS is going to see a lot of use, you need these.

This is a pretty good deal on the smaller sizes, but wait on the 10TB for $150.

How do I get 15% off using prime card? I don't see any mention of that. Thanks.

They verify via Passport. Kills the deal. I'm out.

Yep. I couldn't pull the trigger on the 12Tb Easystore for $180 but didn't think twice about getting rhis. $106 after cash back. $14.17/Tb inc. taxes

My grand son will be headed off to college next summer for architecture. He has projects done in his drafting class and will be wanting to take them with him,and will need much more storage space later.Does anyone know if several smaller drives or 1 large drive would be best for this type of use?

I wish that they had either the 10s or 12s for the same price per TB as the 8s. I've got a 20% plex perks discount, but even with that the price on the 10s isn't amazing.
