Just FYI, it looks like they put a large sticker on the inside bottom of the bowl, which according to the reviews is hard to remove:
"They have changed the glue used for labels. I have used & bought these bowls for years. Label & glue used to be fairly easy to remove. The ones bought in the last few months have had a different glue which has been almost impossible to remove. I have tried Dawn, very hot water, scrubbing, vinegar, alcohol, mineral oil, olive oil, 7th Generation cleaners, Mayo...nothing has worked yet."

I got these last time they were on sale and they are my favorite bowls for my cats. The stickers comes off easily enough if you peel up and edge carefully and pull back slowly. These bowls have rubber on the bottom to prevent sliding which has been a lifesaver. Don't have to sweep up 4 times a day from my energetic kitten racing about playfully. I bought 2 last time and just grabbed one more so each cat can have one for dry food.
Best tip I can make for removing any label: get your hair dryer out and use it on the label for 20 or so seconds. Usually that loosens the glue up enough that it peels right off.
Just be careful putting water in some of these alleged stainless steel bowls. Cheap Chinese bowls are often stainless steel coated, but quickly rust and leach chemicals into the water bowl. Not saying these are a proven problem, just be careful and throw them out mmediately If they start to rust.
