Not sure but most people here fires the gun without even checking. This is not just a configuration heavy but poor built laptop. This is one of the HP's premium Business Laptop series. The reviews for this laptop is pretty solid everywhere. Also, 3 years Onsite premium warranty is not something you see at this price point.

Compare to i5-1035G4 (the Costco $280 deal)

CPU
Average Benchmarks Intel Core i5-1035G4 → 100%

Average Benchmarks AMD Ryzen 7 2700U → 92%

GPU
Average Gaming AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 → 100%

Average Gaming Intel Iris Plus Graphics G4 (Ice Lake 48 EU) → 74%
And that has one of the worst build quality. I mentioned at my previous post that Laptop is not all about internal CPU and Graphics performance. This Laptop is like miles ahead when compared to that HP Pavilion Laptop you;re referring. It offers a solid all metal build, brighter and color accurate display, tons of ports, better security features. If somebody is buying a laptop for work usage, they should simply pick this up without even thinking of that HP Pavilion you're referring.

How would this do for light gaming like Shadowrun Returns and Battle tech, and for things like Photoshop, some light 3d modeling, and maybe video editing? Gaming would also probably be things like SNES emulation, etc.

This HP Elitebook does have some rarely seen advantages, but unfortunately, most people on here won't pay for professional grade build quality and on-site support.

If you only look at price and specs, then that's not the right comparison.
See this deal for a Dell 5000 series at $599 from Costco.
10th gen i7 CPU, better Iris 7 graphics, $40 cheaper, less RAM (easy to upgrade):

They have different displays for this model:

Just want to be sure this one has the 400 nit display. Thanks

Definitely some discrepancies in the details on Woot. The specs don't mention a touch screen, but the photos indicate it's touch. The specs on HP show only two touch screen options - both 220nits. And if non-touch, like you said there are a bunch of different possible panels with only one being the 400 and the rest being 220.

Still a good deal either way, but I'd be much quicker to bite on this if I knew it had the 400nit display.
