I'm not very familiar with the Yakuza franchise but have been wanting to dive in. I found a timeline, but should we play from 0 to 6 or in a different order like 1, 2, 0, 3, etc?

Yakuza 0 (takes place in 1988)
Yakuza: Kiwami (remake of the first Yakuza, takes place in 2005)
Yakuza: Kiwami 2 (remake of Yakuza 2, takes place in 2006)
Yakuza 3 (takes place in 2009)
Yakuza 4 (takes place in 2010)
Yakuza 5 (takes place in 2012)
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life (takes place in 2016)

Yep! The way you listed them is the best way to play the series.

well shoot, haven't played any of the Kingdom Hearts and always been kinda interested, and I've played Yakuza 0 (but traded in after) and 6 but not the rest so ordered all of them lul, had a $5 gift cert so $70 shipped for Yakuza 0, Kiwaki 1, 2, KH The Story So Far, and KH3, not bad!

Yakuza 0 does a good job immersing you in late 80s Japan - other than Shenmue that's a time period you never get to see in games. The attention to detail is crazy in places, you can actually read real copies of magazines from the time in the convenience stores and shop at a Don Quixote (real life discount store) that my folks swear is done up just like it was when they lived there.

The switching between characters was a bit annoying but it's a lot of fun for the money. RC car building/racing FTW.

Amazon matched these prices so ordered there with prime.

Just picked up Yakuza 0 and kiwami. I'll start with those and get the rest next time they're on sale.

You might as well pick up Kiwami 2 as well. Can't have the first 2 without Kiwami 2, and it's the best looking out of the three.

KH3 for $15, and Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far for $20. Cheapest I've seen the physical copies. Been debating the digital All For One set for $20 lately off PSN, but I'm a physical copy kind of guy. Thanks!
