What does renewed mean?
If TV was on every day for the last six months there's a small chance it already has burn in
"Amazon Renewed is your trusted destination for pre-owned and refurbished products that are inspected and tested to work and look like new. A Renewed supplier who is Amazon-qualified and performance managed, performs a full diagnostic test, replaces any defective parts, and thoroughly cleans the product. The products will have minimal to no signs of wear, no visible cosmetic imperfections when held 12 inches away, and may arrive in a brown or white box with relevant accessories that may be generic."
I went ahead and pulled the trigger.
Hoping i won't feel burned if price was better on black friday or cyber monday.
5% flashback on discover (amazon) helped persuade me!
I bought it and then messaged Woot (the seller) to ask more details about return policy (cost and requirements). Hopefully they respond before shipping it out.
Edit: Woot's response:
We follow the Amazon Return Policy of 30 days (within the 30 day period, return shipping is covered). Please feel free to visit the Amazon Return Center for further details.
Edit 2: but wait, this is covered by Amazon's Renewed Guarantee which states:
A replacement or refund within 90 days of receipt if the product does not work as expected
The same standard return policy for most purchases on Amazon if the product does not look like new
Quick support for claims and free troubleshooting via a single point of contact at Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/cu...URK6H2E6Y9
Amazon owns Woot, right? So how easy/difficult would returns be?
Edit: just ordered it with my Amex for the 2 year additional warranty and other perks. Wow can't believe I finally bit on a C9. Excited!
I have a 55" B6 with signficant burn-in of the LG logo.....still the best godamn PQ I've ever seen until the screen turns pure red or yellow. Haven't upgraded in the 4 years I've had it, if that tells you anything. You're gonna be blown away...

How'd that burn in happen? Is the LG logo on screen for long periods?
Just ordered on 25th, arriving Monday 3rd. Says coming from Cerritos, CA on UPS Ground. 66 lbs.
Came in generic box, one side open, screen had a few dead pixels, and a dented lower bezel, w/cracked glass, about a size of a quarter. Packed it up and sent it back.

Got mine. Box was fine. Packaging was fine. Screen looks new. 4 hours on unit per menu. Back has a bunch of big scratches like a 5 year old was trying to install a heavy vesa mount and lost. Negotiating either reduction of price with woot or will return. Doing heavier testing of panel today to be sure no other issues before I accept a partial refund.

How did your negotiations go?

I'm thinking of buying this 55" C9 from Amazon Renewed.
Any updates after delivery, from buyers above ?
Luckily, mine arrived in perfect working and physical condition. I could not see any dead pixels nor anything wrong with the screen. I saw zero scratches in my inspection of the screen as well. The backside also looked completely untouched. It came in a generic brown cardboard box packed with fitted non-styrofoam padding with the stand and remote inside. Batteries not included.
