This is the c330 are we expecting a black Friday deal on the c340 as well? Only 3 years of chromeos updates seems like a dodgy investment to me.

Edit: Thanks for the correction, 2025 makes it a much different proposition

Support until 2022 ... 2 years on a brand new chromebook, people should post in new reviews on Best Buy site, to alert people and explain, 5-6 years is the norm on brand new chromebooks. Especially if it's for kids, Google should rethink their End of Service on any NEW device they are selling on Best Buy/Amazon, etc.

I just picked up a brand new lenovo chromebook 100e for 99 dollars that has until 2015 for End of Service. Big difference.

p.s. it seems like it is updated until 2025.

I haven't had any problems with any of my Chromebooks that stopped receiving updates about 2 years ago but I agree that Google needs to rethink their End of Life policy. It's gonna keep freaking people out and hurting sales.

When are the sub $200 chromebooks going to lose the huge bezel ? They have not really changed much in the last five years as far as hardware & appearance goes. This one has an IPS touchscreen which is nice.

Great little machine. Chrome & Android apps run great, but it's a little slow with Linux containers vs Intel machines. But for a basic Chromebook this is hands down the best in the category. The IPS screen, even though not FHD is very nice to look at, is a massive improvement over any of the other cheap 11.6" Chromebooks with TN panels, especially when it comes to a 2-in-1 device, since the viewing angles matter a lot more on a device that can be used 3 different ways.

Too bad it is in-store only. I'd buy a spare if I could have it shipped, as that's a great price for it. Don't have time to visit Best Buy today, though.

Same debate here. I went with this one and put the $50 towards an SD card, sleeve and lunch daddy daughter date.
