This monitor support HDR10 content playback w/ vivid colors and detailed contrast. While this is an AMD FreeSync monitor, it's also NVIDIA G-Sync compatible by updating to the latest video drivers. Offer valid while promotion last. - Discombobulated

Haven't seen this go on sale before. The LG GL850 is pretty popular for a 27" QHD gaming monitor, and has a great review on Rting. It's sold out on Amazon, but it looks to be 10% off on Best Buy and BHPhotoVideo. Relatively small discount, but the monitor came out in August and is pretty new.

Edit: I don't know if you can edit the title, but you can actually get this for $430 from Google Shopping via Best Buy if you tack on Coupon code "NOVSAVE19" (20% OFF max $20): https://shopping.google.com/produ..._125181302 (code can only be used once)

Best Buy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-u...Id=6358119
Listed as coming soon here, but:

BhPhotoVideo alternate: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...o_ips.html

Rtings: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re.../27gl850-b

Just saw the posting on discord. It's highly recommended monitor. I was already eyeing it but got tempted with all the TV craze on here.

I see this one often recommended over the also popular Gigabyte AD27QD. Another good one is the very similar (slightly cheaper) LG 27GL83A. The biggest difference between the two is a slightly wider color gamut and coverage for the 850. But at $450, the 850 is a pretty good deal I thin.

Different class monitor. 4k is a little too high for my old eyes. And I already have a 279q so I can't have off resolutions

For what it's worth I would pick qhd over 4k at 27"

Yes, I think in August. This is the first time I've seen it on any kind of sale, and it was out of stock most places until recently. I went in for one kind of on an impulse; I just bought a Pixio PX7, but I might pair one of these at $450 with a GL83A for my second monitor.

Why is this so expensive when the 32 inch from Costco is $250 with 1440p 144hz? If this was less than $300 I'd be in for one

Check out reviews, especially from tftcentral (most thorough), it is basically the best 27" IPS monitor out there. It is the fastest with the best color gamut in its class, I think it's pretty cheap actually compared to the $600-1000 rivals which aren't as good.

The new crop of IPS panels are pretty incredible. This LG has TN levels of input lag/response time, while adding the obviously enormous advantage of IPS over TN. I don't know which one you're talking about specifically but it's possible it's a VA (they're usually cheaper than IPS), and those are often a little worse on viewing angles/color/especially response times.

The best value of the new gen IPS monitors is the LG GL83A, but that still comes in at $380, and it hasn't seen a sale yet.

I think you might be talking about this one?

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/32gk650f-b

If so, looks like it is pretty decent, but it suffers more from motion and the picture quality is a bit worse (rtings can generate a side by side comparison if you're interested)
