Unfortunately, the review of the trilogy is pretty critical of the transcription.

Check the Reviews, there are MANY like this...

The $4.99 I payed for this trilogy was nice, and the story is certainly the same one I remember from my first reading, however the formatting is ... pretty bad. It's clearly (and unsurprisingly) an OCR scan of a paper text from somewhere, but it doesn't appear that anyone actually proofed it. "Corner" is commonly rendered as "comer", "torn" as "tom", sir-sit, stern-stem – you get the idea. The paragraphing is really egregious, dialog runs together more often than not, making the reader work to keep track of who's saying what.

Sure, I saved some money over buying the (presumably well-edited) single books, but I'm more than making up for it in frustration and time/effort correcting the text.

The trilogy is only $4.95 which is a better deal IMO.

Must-read series of books. I definitely recommend if you're into hard sci-fi.

Kindle version edited from the original according to reviews. Pass - no need for Amazon to edit a classic work

I too highly, highly recommend the foundation trilogy. It was one of the first science fiction books I ever read so I feel you can comfortably enter the genre with foundation. It is a smart, well written and intriguing story and the endings of each book are quite rewarding. I believe they are making an Apple TV series so it would be a good time to read the book if you prefer to read before watching.

Can't comment on the kindle version being messed up or not. Might be worth picking up the books just to be safe if you are interested.

I am confused. Is this deal for a trilogy or are you incorrectly referring to this as a trilogy?

Are you referring to this deal? I am not sure.
