Everyone seems excited about Walmarts Hyundai drives that Newegg does not sell, but Newegg has the 240 GB Patriot Burst on sale thru Dec 2 for $19.99 after $8 rebate. Possibly others later this week. Free ship. Rebate thru Patriot Mem. I bought one this summer for a couple of $ more no problems, works great.

on the same page there is also 960GB capacity ssd deal for $87.99 and
$77.99 after $10.00 rebate card
I think that is also not a bad deal for those who want a big ssd

Am I the only one who misinterpreted it to be $8 after rebate based on the title?

The failure rate on these are high, look at the negative reviews. Even if it was $8 it wouldn't be a deal.

Never bought Patriot before. Anyone know about quality of this compared to more well known hard drive brands?

I have purchased several Patriot SSD's as well as several USB flash drives. Never had any issues. It is a pretty reputable brand. Not as good as the industry leaders but a solid company with lower priced memory products.
