The whole first season was a bit of a slog. With episodes like "Move Along Home" (they're trapped inside a game for some reason) and "The Storyteller."

They didn't seem to know what to do with Bajor, it felt like a planet trying to find its identity but they never really explored that. They spent more time exploring the Maquis' motivations than really diving deep into whatever Bajor was meant to be. In fact the show struggled with a lot of themes they insisted on introducing (like him being a religious figure).

But regardless of all of that it still has some of the best TV. "In the Pale Moonlight" in particular is likely the best episode of any show I've ever seen.

I highly recommend this film. Not even a huge DS9 fan but still really enjoyed the Doc.

Huge fan. The best of the series story (arcs)-wise. Much more nuanced and "realistic" with drama and tension. Very much under-appreciated by "fans".

It was $3.69 for me on Amzn. No brainer. Hopefully slow ship credit was applied. Hate that buy it now doesn't actually show payment method.

Checked the order confirmation email. Slow ship credit was why it was shown a lower price.. Tricky Amzn, got me again.

There's a bunch of comments complaining about "liberal agenda" being forced into the doc. Is this true or is just same old progressive, socialist utopia Star Trek offending sensitive people?

Any response to this question will be subjective, but in my honest opinion, much more the latter with a little bit of the former mixed in. Worth watching if you are a fan of the series. Dont really see the point if youre not, honestly. Big DS9 fan myself.

However some of the worst episodes too. Any episode with that old religious woman was always such a struggle to get through.
