I bought this when Best Buy had the double discounts, and really like it, but have been unable for find a tablet only case for it, outside of the air jacket that they sell for $70.

Anyone find any alternatives? Hate paying $70 for a $10 item.

even my original 2014 Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 from 5 years ago felt smoother and faster for internet browsing and YouTube videos than this Pixel Slate(which I returned after a week) Frown

Interesting. I've never thought about using it keyboardless. Wouldn't you feel like that just limits the use way too much?

Personally I wish there was an aftermarket keyboard that didn't use the brydge hinge format. That shit looks like a recipe to crack your screen. The google keyboard is pretty garbage unless you're using it on a completely flat table.

Also got in on that same deal. It was a good one.

I commute on a vanpool, and find the Slate fantastic for reading Kindle books and surfing the web without the keyboard. For sitting and reading, a tablet is perfect.

Haven't even taken the keyboard out of the box yet.

Right now just using a sleeve.

Isn't this essentially the same deal that they were going to release on Black Friday?

Got this when BB had the pricing error for like 295. I love it, great for web browsing. The Google docs transfer over nicely to excel. I'd recommend this

Google really fails at their own hardware product it seems. But at this price as a whole package it doesnt seem too bad.

Just a heads up, the Pixel Slate is going to be supported by Google until June 2026.

Incipio used to make a really great case for the Slate. I believe they discontinued it, however you may be able to find one used.
