The $60 plan (100 mins + 100 text +500 MB LTE per month, paid for 1 year in advance) is now at $53; $1 better than prior deal at $54 (https://slickdeals.net/f/13464943-redpocket-60-annual-plan-now-54); $4.42 per month instead of $5.

Don't know of any discount codes for ebay yet; or ebay bucks; if any one knows, pl. add.

I did this last year and use their Verizon SIM as a backup when I'm in the mountains. Is there a way to purchase this and extend my current service?

Select renewal/existing sim from the dropdown menu when you buy it? Don't activate until the time is about up on your other plan.

Is there an expiration for me to activate? my expiration date is 3/1, quite far but I happen to have a coupon now... itchy to get this.

It says you have up to 90 days to activate before they (possibly) disable the code.

If someone doesn't need much data, I think tracfone deal seems cheaper and better. This deal is use it or lose it every month. Tracfone can be renewed and keep on stacking.
I thought Tracfone is expensive before but recent tracfone smart phone annual deal makes it worth considering. 40-50 bucks for 1200 min/1200 text/3GB for 1 year.

Actually depends on who is the user, if it is for a teenager, it is better to have them renewed per month rather than they 'accidentally' use up the whole year's quota in a couple of weeks. For anyone who knows what they are doing, I agree the tracfone annual plan has advantage.

IMHO, If it was for the teenagers, I think it may be better off with tello, if sprint works. With Tello at least their texting is unlimited. 6 bucks get 100 min/unlimited text/unlimited data @ 2G. One reason to give kids a phone is for emergency and calling for parental help. If kids blows up 100 minutes and 100 text in a short time, then it seems null point to give them a dirt cheap plan when they need help and can't get help with their phone.

How is this compared to this Speedtalk Monthly 250 MIN (OR) 250 SMS [speedtalkmobile.com] for $60 full year?

Not sure, but only ATT or Sprint service. ATT is a no-go for Apple users because they can't picture message everyone properly using the built-in messaging App. I only need the $53 plan, but my wife would need 2Gb or more per month, wish I could jump in on that $195 plan for her but she has iPhone. Not a Redpocket limitation, it's a deal between Apple and ATT.
