A lot of times, landlines won't port directly to GV, so you have to port to a wireless provider (T-Mobile $10 plan) and then port over to GV.
Keep in mind that GV does NOT provide caller ID or e911. There are cheap ways around that, but it is something to be aware of.

I love the camel, but they don't seem to be as good as before. They almost never catch lightning deal prices on Amazon. Not that I blame them... they don't scan Amazon prices every hour.
When I have my eyes on something on Amazon, I just put it in my shopping card... I just keep checking the shopping cart as often as I can(in fact, it's my browser's home page). When prices go up or down, Amazon notifies me on the top of the shopping cart.
