Be careful with Superdry coats. I picked one up last sale and discovered that it was a poor fit, at best. The chest (size medium) was too small and the I couldn't even get my arms into the sleeves. I am not a large guy at 5'8" and 150lbs!

Buying one size up "may" help but I would say that if you can't try it on first, I wouldn't buy it.

I had to go through a lot of argument with Superdry and eBay to finally get refunded on the coat.

No no, the quality is pretty good; much much much better than say the GAP or JCrew. Much better than regular eBay cheepies. There is an official SuperDry eBay store: one for us Yankees in USA, and another for the UK. Prices are usually? cheaper on eBay outside of SD sales.

Yes, the sizing is meant for tall, skinny teenagers with narrow shoulders aka me. The lengths are very long. I'd say the large size is equivalent to a small tall usa size. I would normally take an extra small extra tall if such a size existed, so SD size small is my friend! For coats and sweaters it's size Medium for me, as size small is too tight on me. It's like it's sized for Slenderman. There are very few brands sized like this. Most garments in this sizing are one offs meant for runway models.

i can imagine the quality of this crap. get same or similar unbranded crap on ebay for less
So you're imagining it and don't own any Superdry clothes, right?
The poster is complaining about the sizing and the peril of buying clothes online, not quality.

Who tf buys unbranded clothing off ebayl?

More like 2-3 sizes bigger. I'm usually L or XL, I'm a XXXL in superdry. Everyone should attempt to try it in in store or make sure they have free returns.

no, i'm not familiar with this chinese brand. looking at cheap off brand beanies on amazon and ebay, about same price. ordered one from amazon for a family member. it's cheaper than at local stores and is same low quality but is usable. who buys on ebay? maybe those who don't care and want to save or those who can't afford to buy overpriced premium brand names.

It's hit-or-miss for me with SuperDry. They definitely run on a small side. I usually wear L, but with SuperDry it's anywhere between L and XXL.
As far as quality, their pure cotton items are top-notch. Been wearing them for years
