Ah "toxins" or "toxic" - the language of a Facebook researcher.
Here's a FAQ and a scientific paper with actual research and stated methodology. Now please provide your sources, oh wise one. Any rebuttal you provide must include sources, no opinion pieces.
If you are actually concerned about the minuscule amounts of soot produced by ANY candle then your own logic should prohibit you burning ANYTHING.

Good luck getting any with the glass NOT broken. They literally just stuck them in boxes with 1 layer of bubble wrap on the glass.

I think its really a lottery when it comes to who is packing. I have had luck so far. One time I had a ramekin break, but with all the stuff I get shipped from Kohl's its not too bad. Plus I am sure if that were to happen they would replace it.

Yankee candles are packed with a cardboard milk carton type case mold for the jar. Never had any problems.

Just my two cents but avoid Yankee Candles, in fact avoid any candle that is made from paraffin wax. Yes, the jars are nice with illustrated labels, but the black soot that these candles emit is toxic so if you like breathing that in, and at the same time, getting black soot in your carpet and on your walls, by all means, buy Yankee. But if you want something much safer to burn go with Soy-based candles. I have tried a lot of brands out there, some of the best ones on the market are the ma and pa made soy candles. My favorite candles are made by Pure Integrity, once I started buying theirs I didn't go back to any other candles. Fantastic customer service, and amazingly scented candles that are safe to burn.

I have had issues with shipping from Kohl's too. Ordered 10 at once, none broken. Ordered 3 more and all three came shattered. Both times just packed with bubble wrap. Ordered from Amazon and those came boxed in an egg crate type container.

I've ordered twice before and they were packed really well. Individually bubble wrapped and gaps in the box were filled with the air packet thingies.

What if you don't burn them and just use a candle warmer?

I never knew such a thing existed so I looked it up. Interesting alternative although now you would have to keep it next to an outlet. Wouldn't be very convenient on a coffee table or something

Does the type of jar matter as to the longevity?

What black soot? It's not emitting black soot or any smoke when it's lit. You mean when you blow the candle out there is black soot smoke? I just put the lid lightly back on and the smoke stays inside there and dissipates.

My candles from the last FP deal were TWICE reported as "Damaged in transit - Unable to deliver shipment - Returning to shipper" by FedEx and never even made it to me. The first time was the original order, then the second time was the replacement shipment.
