This would be fine for a single door but you do not need one this strong 1.25HP, A single door would be fine with a 1/2 or 3/4 HP opener.

My husband has owned a garage door repair company for over 20 years. He says this is an okay deal. It is not much different then the one that home depot had on BF for $99. The BF Genie Home depot opener was the one he told customers that had been looking for a deal to buy this year. 1.25 HP is a bit of a overkill for the average door. If you needed an opener today because your died, then this would be a contender, but if you have time to wait for a better deal, there will be better deals, unless you need the 1.25HP and all the specific features this offers.
If you are not installing it yourself , make sure you don;t get ripped off paying someone to install it, you should pay around $100 ($80-110 depending on your city) to get it installed. My husband has been shocked when we visit other cities to see companies charging 200-500+ for installs and trying to upsell things you do not need.

Thx sister. I currently have a 3/4 that just crapped out and worked forever. A more powerful unit won't open any quicker or be any more reliable/last longer?
