I just received mine today and really like them for the price. I bought mine last Thursday for $80.60 "like new" from PHOTOTECH seller on Amazon. The seller was on the front page deal posted before last month ($125). I personally like them better than the Sennheiser HD598 that I got a few years ago. These are also super comfortable on me.

I remember the Fidelio X2 use to be like $250+ when a few years ago and even been on SD front page before at like $240 in 2015. Not sure why these new ones have gotten so much cheaper now.

I love that these use a regular standard 3.5mm jack + detectable cable unlike my Sennheiser. I may start using them as gaming headset if I buy the V-Moda Boompro. I'm also considering of buying a 3.5mm bluetooth receiver so I can occasionally use them wireless as well.

These are my favorite gaming set. The open back is super crisp and you can hear other people sneaking up on you, like you're cheating almost. Great for horror games too. Very comfortable, sometimes I forget I have them on even after an hour+ session. Good for music too, don't really need an amp to push it. Worth the price imo.

Great headphone if you want good sound quality (and bass) without having to buy an amp. Ear pads were really uncomfortable in long use for me though

I feel like I need to buy a second pair. Still have my X2 from 4 years ago and going strong. Love them more than my K7XX for overall use.

Get the V-Moda mic and you will have an amazing gaming headset. I can wear these comfortably for hours. I know people say that you don't need an amp, and they're right, but man do they sing with some nice clean power.

Yes! I have both. More bass. Higher quality construction and feels more durable with the metal top than the shp9500 single sheet metal. I bring shp9500 in my backpack so it gets the abuse. X2hr stays at my home set up.

I make mine into a Bluetooth set up using the fiio Bluetooth transmitter and a 3" right angled male to male aux cable. So mine in a sense is now a wireless open back headphones. Walk around the house enjoying sweet sweet sound.

How about for gaming? Would the X2's be a significant upgrade?

Your explosions will be more powerful and +20hp. ... It's got a great "soundstage" but honestly in gaming, it is very clear and not muffled like my closes back hyperX ii. I love the vmoda boompro combo. Sounds far superior than any gaming headsets out there. The only thing is make sure you have a USB sound card that supports supplying windows with 2 output driver's like the mixamp or hyperX. That way I can adjust discord and game separately
