I tried the V8 but thought it was weak and underwhelming. Went for the $400 V10 deal and I love it. It's a little pricey but the dok that it comes with is great, allows you to store it nicely without mounting into your wall.

Ahh ok. Much better answer thanks. Peace

However the fluffy brush is this one?

https://www.amazon.com/Dyson-Fluf...B074Q3R5G3

Only $99 not $180, but still a $50 savings makes sense.

I'm with you on the hardwood thing. I have hardwood but its so easy to clean, I'm getting it more for the carpet with hardwood being secondary.
I was looking at Dyson site pricing (but wrong either way lol). They have the fluffy head listed for 150/out of stock. 180 was for the bristle version.

I think the extra fifty bucks is probly worth it for you since you have both carpet and hardwood tbh. For me, I have 0 carpet so no real value for the bristle cleaner, and I decided I can't justify 300 bucks for something I can just use my broom and dustpan for... I'll probly just buy a cheap handheld from Ryobi that works with my one+ batteries instead lol

If both v8 and v10 use standard lithium ion battery, I don't see how battery life can be 15yrs. 5yrs would already be a stretch
Probably because according to the writeup the author says the V10 uses a seven-cell, nickel-cobalt-aluminum battery. Then I read another that says it has a 25.2-volt lithium-ion battery, A bit of conflicting information. While I agree 15 years is a stretch I was going off his writeup until it was found that the author corrected himself regarding being incorrect about the battery.

More food for thought not that am saying there isn't enough comments out there but between Dyson and the washing/vacuuming cleaner I saw on prime day and the rumba which again is apples to oranges to pineapples... Dyson is a great brand... I think primarily for carpet... And then there was this another wet floor washer/vacuum thingy that seemed to really washing the floor while vacuuming it... And then you have the rumba that simple does the "job/chore" for you... The newest one which has separate bags that collect the dirt in a separate bag which can be thrown out... And company makes rotating income of that too... Pheww so much out there that you have to choose from especially with these attractive bf sales... Pheww...

How does this compare to the Dyson Cyclone V10 Total Clean+ that Costco will have on sale for $350 soon during their black friday sale?

Just some food for thought that you'll probably be in the market for another of these after a couple of years once you see the battery life go way down. The wife and I have been incredibly frustrated with ours. It cleans great, though, for the time you can actually use it before you have to charge it for hours.

I've been using my V7 nearly every day for the past two years and haven't seen a significant degradation in the battery life. But you know that you can get a replacement battery for these, right?

I had searched before about battery replacement and didn't find anything related. I'll look into it. Thanks. Maybe we got a dud for the battery.

Man I just want a cheap fluffy Dyson under $180.
It doesn't quite hit your 180 price point, but I just got a v7 Fluffy from Dyson for $199. The fluffy head works great on hard floors.

Just came across Monoprice open box. anyone have experience with open box through monoprice? Site says it may not come with accessories so I'm a bit concerned it won't come with the fluffy roller which is what I really want absolute for.

Do you think it's worth it to buy the V8 animal for $100 and buy the fluffy brush separately for $100?

Is this better than the $100 Ryobi 18V stick vac?
