I currently have Newshosting for $180 per two years (includes VPN) . Can someone comment on their service versus Newshosting. My Newshosting is up for renewal in a couple of months so the price seems very attractive.

Wondering the same about their VPN service. Does it support OPENVPN? I see no info on VPN in their FAQ

I came from newshosting myself. Retention and speed both seem similar to me. Look up reviews and don't just take my comments, because at the time I switched I went from being frustrated with the take down notices that usenet was going through. Now I just use usenet for fills and odd stuff, so take downs don't affect me nearly as much. I would be take downs are still a huge frustration for most. But if they haven't been an issue on newshosting, they shouldn't be an issue on Thundernews.

I bought a block yesterday from theCubeNet.

Last year's Black Friday, I bought some blocks at usenetexpress. I have found it to be awful. Half of what I try to download doesn't download, or if it does any sizeable file will be corrupted. Able to download the same on theCUbeNet with no issues.

I went to https://www.ngprovider.com/newsgr...ellers.php to try to find out what backbone Thundernews is on. No need to buy duplicate access. Anyone?

I'm surprised you had issues with Express, it was great for me when I used them. As long as I didnt try to get something really old it was near flawless.

After some digging, seems like they use OctaneVPN. I can't test it at work right now because they block VPNs and VPN websites, but maybe the user/pw they provide you will work with OctaneVPN?

Can't confirm right now...

Great deal thanks!

I was currently on the $36 a year for 250GB a month and I submitted a ticket asking to upgrade. They changed my account and said starting next year I'll pay the $26. Great customer service!

I wouldnt let one month stop me from jumping on a good deal now. That one month is worth $2.
