This looks like an interesting product. Has anyone here used it?

It's kind of cool but in terms of functionality, why not just buy the latest entry-level iPad (on sale for as low as $250 now) plus Duet Display ($10 or so) and then you have a functional tablet _and_ secondary display that works on any Windows or Mac? It's a couple inches smaller than this one but overall probably a way better use of money.

Looks interesting, but not something I'm in the market for currently..

Would this coupon stack with the 10% popup that showed up for new member sign-ups? That might sweeten this significantly.

Got one as a present. Refresh rate and colors are garbage and you have to pick a side and stick with it unless you want 8 magnets on your laptop.

Be careful putting the magnets on as the adhesive is very strong and sticks instantly. I cleaned the surface with alcohol first.

If you need a second monitor on the go or when you're laying around I would say go for it. If you're choosing this over a standard monitor then I wouldn't get this one.

It also only works over usb 3, so keep that in mind. Usb 2 just gave me a black screen

I'm also using the iPad/duet setup and it works well for me.

There are plenty of apps that do this for free such as splashtop. No need to buy an app. Use any tablet that you already own.

If you're looking for something like this, check the Amazon warehouse sale, they have some Asus usb powered monitors for sub-$150

Splashtop is a remote access app iirc. Duet lets you use the iPad as a second monitor.

I have this from their Kickstarter. Used it a few times; works pretty well, especially for business use.

However, it is recommended you have a desk to use it with for support to the base of the unit. Since I often work in weird places, I've not been able to use the device as much as I'd like.

I should probably put it up on Craigslist or something but I've just been lazy.

This is better and cheaper and matches the size of a Macbook Pro 15in perfectly: https://www.amazon.com/AOC-i1601f...B06Y8SSQG5

This is slightly smaller, tad bit thicker and way more functional that both of those as it can use single USB-C for video and power/USB-C Display Alt mode, full-sized HDMI, Mini Display Port and can display with OTG on phones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TWGBG3P

Splashtop acts a secondary monitor as well. That said - most might find wireless solutions to be great. I don't - they seem to fail right when I truly need them.
