Ahhh!!! That $20off makes it even more irresistible, but I need to resist... Spent way too much on tools already.

I'm sure a lot of people want this high quality router and table, but if you're barely starting out and want a cheap entry level item, the Kobalt router and table is $129 at Lowe's now through it's Black Friday sale

Any recommendation for just a table to go with my bosch router?

The router and plunge base [amazon.com] are $189 at Amazon, and the table [amazon.com] is $199 at Amazon.

For anyone who bit on this last week @ $299 like I did, I just chatted with HD customer service online for 3 minutes and got the $20 refunded to my card. Definitely a great deal at this price!

Is this better in long run?

You're not alone. Ive been debating this myself... Have one of the kobalts sitting there ready for me to pickup but keep going back and forth on whether this is ultimately the better deal even thought I don't know how much use I'll actually get out of either one.

Great Deal - Posted about this the other week when it was only $299. Wish I bought it with the extra $20 off!

Buy individual bits you will actually use. The sets are lower quality and chances are you wont use most of them. I use round over, chamfer, and straight bits and thats about it. Harbor freight has sets that are low quality but cheap enough to mess with.

I would try these. They are recommended as a starter set:
