I haven't watched Scooby Doo in at least 30 years but I'm pretty sure it's "meddling kids" and not "mangling" lol

Fake HD, but what can we do until whoever owns the rights remasters the original copies (if they still exist) or however that works...

That's right. Whoever wrote mangling either didn't remember or may not be that good at English.

What is fake HD? You mean someone upscaled the SD copies on a computer? In that case, how is that any better than watching a DVD on a Bluray player which upscales?

I admit to not being well versed on all the different Scooby Doo series. What I do see is that I bought Scooby-Doo Where Are You? seasons 1-3 on DVD for $12 total many years ago, and since this is also 3 seasons I'm going to assume these are the same episodes as this. Since this is $20 for "fake HD", I'll stick with my $12 DVDs (which not surprisingly I haven't watched).

I used to watch Scooby Doo as a kid, but I couldn't tell you what episodes or from what series/season any of them were.

No, they are in the original 1.33:1 aspect ratio as broadcast back in the day.

It shouldn't be fake HD. This was just released recently as a remastered HD bluray set with digital copy. The source wasn't the greatest to begin with as it was always Saturday morning cartoon-quality and that limits how good it will look in HD, but if it's truly dvd/VHS quality then they did a lousy job

You're probably right. I didn't know there was a remastered hd Blu-ray set. I just assumed. My bad...

Maybe my bitch moan and complaining about the quality got them to do something about it. The HDX copies do not have the issues the SD copies do. The SD copies have VHS tracking issues.

Besides tracking issues being eliminated, do you notice any other improvements? Better color saturation? Better line detail?
