Be kind, first real SD thread. Nest Hello Doorbell is on Black Friday sale for most everywhere for $149. But like most everywhere, they've marked prices down early. There's a promo for a free Nest Hub with purchase of Nest Hello at Home Depot, good through Wednesday 11/27.
I was just able to get the doorbell and hub, paid the $149 BF price. Not a combo kit, but separate units. So either a Slick Deal for the combo (usually $229 on sale) or a super deal on the doorbell, beating the BF price by $50 if you keep the doorbell for $97.37 per my receipt and return the hub for $51.63 (or just sell it).
I've had the doorbell for a while and enjoy it, was picking this one up as a gift. Enjoy!
Save another $10 in-store using the "Text to Me" item location coupon from Home Depot's website. See post #279 with steps and screen captures.
HEY ALL! If you haven't figured it out yet you won't replicate this deal tomorrow (online or BF).
The BF add specifically states that this doorbell will be $149.99 with no free hub attached to it. HD prematurely adjusted prices early and didn't take into account the free hub. So if you don't buy today you're SOL. Here's the BF ad straight from HD's site as well as the tear off flyer in store.
Not sure how to edit from the app, but should say B&M deal, as the online price hasn't change to Black Friday pricing yet, but my local Home Depot had, signage and computer system. Didn't have to do anything to get the pricing, just brought tag from the regular end cap (not the BF display at the front which didn't have the bundle deal) and they grabbed the items and they rang up no issues.
The receipt has the return prices marked per my post, assume I can return hub for $50 if I can't sell it for more. Worst case is a free hub while paying the Black Friday price early, best case is $50 cheaper than BF advertised price.
Doubt the doorbell will be marked down later, Nest/Google doesn't really do that with these. As for the doorbell itself, it's great.
And yes, not online and you have to buy both otherwise it's just $149 for the doorbell; the discount comes from the hub scanning as free
Isn't that what everyone uses it for? Well, I suppose you could just use it for deterrence.
as far as i know most people will install it as a doorbell. i am doing to deploy it around my city and use it as a mass surveillance network using machine learning to stay safer.
