I swear by the Omni Heat feature. That really does conserve the heat. I'm at 2 degrees Celsius with only a long-sleeve polo and this jacket not feeling cold.

How does this compare to the recent Mountain Hardwear deal? I believe the price was about the same as this one.

$25 lower than lowest on Amazon per CCC.

It's a good price for a midgrade 650 fill but I wish they'd include the weight. Chances are this is good with a t-shirt under to about 45-55 depending on your tolerance for cold.

This type of jacket is a godsend for travel, but I'm keeping my eye out for something with 850 or 950 fill

Columbia and Mountain Hardwear are owned by the same company, and both seem to have a promocode associated with Slickdeals. Thus I don't know how slick of a deal this really is. It may be a good price, but likely not "slick"

I paid $70 for the Mtn Hardwear jacket.

Eddie Bauer has a 800 fill and I believe they're 50% off
