I'm considering the $180 Costco deal. It has double the refresh rate, but only 1080p. I'll be gaming 25% of the time, and mostly using for computer tasks. Is this one worth losing the refresh rate? $20 difference is negligible to me.

Yes worth it imo. Higher resolution is much better.

For productivity, this would be better just by virtue of fitting more stuff on the screen without losing clarity. This seems like a great productivity deal.

I don't think this panel is meant for gaming, really. It'll be fine if you're not playing competitively. There's nothing wrong with it. But if you're doing fast paced competitive games, 144Hz is better, and this doesn't have freesync or gsync, which is very popular these days on gaming monitors. It's just not geared towards gaming.

This would be a productivity monitor first, and a gaming monitor second. If you're like me, and you tend to stick to single player games, this is fine.

Thanks for the input. Sounds like my exact situation! Productivity first, then single player games when the kids are asleep. Multiplayer game once a month when I'm able to meet up w/ friends/fam. I think y'all helped me make my decision!

This is a good deal but I think https://slickdeals.net/f/13620739-acer-v277u-bmiipx-27-black-ips-led-monitor-2560x1440-dp-vesa-speaker-free-ship-199-newegg?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1 is better - same price, same manufacturer, same retailer.

Difference: that one is brighter (350 nit vs. 250 nit) and has a faster response time (4ms vs. 5ms). Everything else looks the same to me.

Needing 2 monitors 26-34". Primary use will be work say 80% and then 20% gaming. Looking for 2k monitor (something more than 1080p) Can someone suggest a current Black Friday deal that would work for me. Too many options and I am just at a loss.

i'd take the slightly "worse" specs to get height and swivel adjustability IMO

I'm considering to buy a pair of monitors for productivity... is this the best value currently? Kind of disappointed at the current offerings after doing some searches. I'm particularly looking for 1440 instead of 2080 since I've read it's too high of a resolution for 27 inches.
