The JBL Studio 530 bookshelf speakers are finally back in stock after having sold out about six months ago, when they were last available for $299.95.

Buy them at the JBL website: https://www.jbl.com/STUDIO+530BK.html

or the Harman website: https://www.harmanaudio.com/STUDIO+530BK.html

They sold out pretty quickly last time!
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I'm a newb, are these considered bright like Klipsch since they are horns? I'm looking for something neutral.

I wonder why more people haven't bought a pair of 520c over the 530s, since the 520c has more cone area and the 530s are so tough to find. The 520 gets a bad rap because the expectation is for it to play as low as the 580, 590 etc. I have the 590s and the 520c pairs great when highpassed around ~100hz .

I want to try the matching sub so badly at this price, but that 50lbs weight has my spine screaming already and those plastic feet look so stupid.

Thanks I am thinking of pairing them with front klipsch RP-800F, center RP504C and RP500SA elevation speakers. I wanted to use the RP600M for rear surrounds but maybe I should use the 530s?
I would go with 530s. Hope you enjoy them like I have.

I've got 5 of the 590s, and a pair of the 530s, for the "base layer" on my 7.2.4 system. They sound fantastic. I'm not a fan of the 520C center, as I think it starts sounding boxy at loud volumes. But if you listen at reasonable volumes, then the center channel works well with the rest of them. I'm actually using one 590 tower behind my TV as a center, and it sounds surprisingly good. It will sound even better if I ever get a dedicated home theater, and can put it behind an acoustically transparent screen.

(FYI, I use JBL SCS8 for my overhead speakers, but those are special order only, and have to be bought through dealers rather than the JBL website.)
Yep. I second this. I have three 590s as my LCR. I have the center one on its side just below by 150" non-acoustically transparent screen. I have the 530s as my surround backs. Due to placement issues I have the DIY volt 6LX for side surrounds. I have some canton in-ceiling for my 4 Atmos. So 7.2.4. I use 2 JBL 560p as subs.

I went from klipsch RF5 to JBL 590. Big difference. Wait a week for the jbls to break in and they sound great. No ear fatigue when powered with a nice receiver or amp.
