The submarine gets soap scum and other gross stuff (algae) inside of it after a few weeks of use and you gotta open it up to clean it. It's not the worst in the world but my son used to drink from it and it was disgusting.

We have two of the submarines, no problems with soap scum or mold. My kids love them and they are handy for pouring water on them to help them bathe.

My son has played with his submarine every bath for years and it's never gotten gross. They're dishwasher safe... Helps if you hang it up sheet each bath.

I then show him the yellow submarine song video and we sing along as Mom rinses off his hair. I loved the movie and now my boy loves the Beatles too.

Strongly recommend any of the green toys... Made from recycled milk cartons. Well designed and last.

My kid loves the sub. He also likes the seaplane and the firetruck. Overall, this brand is on point, but as others said, you can often find it at Marshalls for under 10.
