If it's like dark souls, just try to get as many souls and level up fast. If you die, collect your souls or you will lose them. Gets easier after you level up.
It's not and you cannot.

I've played all the souls/borne games and Sekiro is the most difficult game I've ever played. Unlike souls/borne games where you can summon for assistant...there's no co-op in this so you're forced to get better. I do admit that I had to use cheese methods to defeat most of the bosses. I got the the final boss but was not able to defeat him because he's the biggest cheater of them all. Overall, it's still a really good game and a must buy if you're a fan of souls/borne games.

Great deal on what will probably be GOTY. Best combat system out there, so good the new Star Wars game copied it.

I have never understood why people overblow the difficulty of these soul games or even require coop. I have a harder time with FPS, RTS, platformers, or actual skill based games. Soul games are about repetition. You don't need good aim, perfect timing, or fast reflexes. You just need to know what to expect and how to counter it. They are slow paced games. It's more time consuming than actually hard. You can't instantly retry an area or boss in a matter of seconds. The hardest part is finding out where to go and deciphering some of the more obtuse mechanics and lore. Some things you are forced to use a wiki because the designers thought this was amazing game design.

People with short attention spans ran with the whole you have died meme the PR department has been spitting out to claim its the hardest series of games ever. It's way overblown and undeserving of the title, not that being hard actually makes a game fun...

I play for the satisfying weighty combat, aesthetic and atmosphere. Have been since the original demon souls on PS3.

I don't know what games you considered challenging but we all know damn well that Sekiro takes a lot death and repetition until you understand the bosses move patterns and learn how to precise timing counter.

They ship you a physical box. I agree it's madness, though.

There's currently a "Save $3.74 at checkout" offer for cyber monday for Sekiro at Amazon. Since I bought it a few days ago, I asked customer chat if I could get that savings and the rep ended up giving me a $5 promotion certificate.
