Are the batteries replaceable on these? Or once they go bad, you have to purchase new cameras*?

Do you have to replace the entire unit or just recharge it when battery is low?

you cannot replace them, you recharge them via micro usb. they are rated for 180 days although YMMV depending on the amount of motion they pickup throughout the day. Mine record 10-25 clips a day and the battery is holding up well. Up for over 30 days and only down 20%. I would say you should safely get 2-3 months between charging.

Got it thanks for the info. Why did you say the batteries are non replaceable? Are you talking about people noticing battery degradation cant replace them? Have you noticed battery degradation?

Why? You realistically only recharge these 3-4 times a year... you think the batteries with 500 charge cycles won't last you?

Not at all, just stating the fact that the cameras are a sealed unit. They recharge via the base and USB cable, or any other power adapter.

Really solid camera system, especially at this price ($249 regularly)

Eufy support is really top notch too. software and hardware wise.

No. He wants to keep it for over 125 years so he can give it to his great great grand kids as his legacy.

The 2C doesn't have the anti-theft alarm like the other models do. This seems like it would be important, since there is nothing to prevent someone from just taking your camera? Or am I missing something?

Got these on a previous deal for 199. Set them up last week and really like them. My sister has Arlo. Similar setup (no subscription on these). As for video quality these are better. The spotlight feature is nice too. I'm happy with the purchase.
