Weight, build quality, and possibility for upgrade. In my opinion the Gram series should be comparing to XPS, X1 and MacBooks instead of sub $400 laptops.

Great price! Picked Up the i7/16 GB a few months ago for about $180 more, Definitely a superb laptop, any info on how this go with switching out the RAM? Looking to upgrade to 32GB and i hear some company's RAM have issues with swapping with this.

They can only go lower. Laptops are a tough category. I think we will see some price cuts on Dell, Lenovo Yoga and these. Looking for the major door busters.

Really nice for those know why they need LG gram- the weight. Otherwise, Not so good considering the build quality for screen and its 10th gen CPU now. But it is the only light wight notebook you can upgrade RAM yourself( highly recommended) . All others are soldered RAM in the same light weight category.

Any reason to buy this other than it's super light? This spec is about a $400 deal, you can get a 15" Lenovo with 10th gen i5 similar spec for $450. If I am paying almost 100% premium fee for something other than the spec, I'd better understand what I am paying for Smilie

I like the weight. But that 100Mbps ethernet is a showstopper for me.

If you want a light walmart brand alternative for $ 200-300 there's the motile 14" 1080p 4GB 128GB Ryzen 3200 u (roughly core i3 8th gen perf, more than double fps from Ryzen GPU).

2.55 lbs vs LG's 2.19 lbs.

You definitely lose a lot but you also save a lot.

Just something to consider if weight is a huge consideration.

they are clearing out for 10th gen intel. I would not buy unless it is sub $500. 10th Gen i7 6th core is way way way faster than these.
Are the hexcore put in Ultrabooks? I thought those were workststion or gaming laptop chips

The weight is THE reason to buy a Gram. If anything else is your priority, you can find something better. But if you are a traveller with weight as your main concern, this is a very attractive option.
