And how does the B50 compare? From an SD viewpoint, it's awfully hard to justify the not-on-sale W30s when then W40s are basically the same price. I also have the $25 off $250 amex offer which makes the B50 deal even more enticing...
I couldn't say, I don't own them. I would wait for a sale on the W30's or look around for reviews comparing the W30's to the B50's. All I can say is I loved my W30's and I love my W40's

I purchased the W40 back in 2017 for about #340 and love them to the tilt. More than the Shure 535's. They are so comfortable and so non tiring that sometimes I listen on them for 7-8 hours straight. Sound quality is spectacular, great soundstage, deep bass, great highs and mids. Does everything great. For the price of around $220 it is a no brainer!

Should I buy the W40 when I only use it wirelessly?
Could not find any online review with Bluetooth feature

I was seriously very close to purchasing a pair of ER4XRs until I saw this Westone deal. Now I don't know what to do. Are the B50s really that bad? How do the ER4XRs compare to the W40 and B50s? FWIW I do enjoy bass-heavy songs. And comfort isn't a huge priority for this particular purchase, as I plan on getting fitted for custom sleeves and made for whichever pair I ultimately get.
w40 bass was on mushy side rather than clear, punchy, I'm on er4 and never switch to a lot of 2 time expensive stuff, if you really want a lot of bass I suggest go for future sonics, but on your choice margin I would say er4/2xr or a pair of old triple fi 10serves you well.

What would you say I should get between er4 and 2xr?
Also do you have any particular recommendations for listening to piano songs?

How's the new w60 if I listen to primarily hip hop, rnb, rock and pop? Looking to jump into the iem game

Check out KZ as10 or as16 you will be blown with the sound quality for its price;
Westons are not even close

I had the w4's for many years and loved them. While giving you the detailed sounds of ba drivers, they are extremely coherent across the FR, slightly warmer than pure neutral and great with a wide variety of genres. Bass is more present than leaner ba iems like etymotics but they don't move air and give the impression of thump that dynamic drivers do - ie something like a Senn IE8 or even a hybrid like 1more quads.

Ergonomics and comfort are second to none with the Westones, even with silicone tips. With most every other IEM I have, I resort to comply's.

The KZs referenced above are going to have a very different sound with peakier trebles. Google FR graphs and look at the 3-4k range as compared to the Westones.

both okay, ER4 has a somehow better resolution, and if you are die hard fan of made in america, ER2XRare made in china while all ER4 are hand tested by american engineers.
on a price ratio I say they were both awesome but 2xr are like 90%of performance for only a half price.
