I think if you have use for the gift card, it's a good deal.

I got the same deal. 27% in pts was $377. Even after 9.25% tax that comes out to $1,150. I was going to accept $1,420 from Greentoe, but I'm glad I waited. Can buy a bunch of ubiquiti cameras with the pts.

Yup. I'm in OR so no tax. Hoping for a quick shipping.

Or...if you want an equally highly rated OLED, grab the New Egg deal on the LG 65" B9 for a little over a hundo more ($1599/free ship).

This. Anyone paying more than the $1099 deal is simply feeding Sony's obsession to price gauge on a very matured LCD technology tv with very low local dimming zones and no HDMI 2.1. There are so many alternatives now a days. And at 1498 it's too close to OLED.

BTW at this point Sony is one of the few who failed to deliver Apple TV app. Personally I have an Apple TV 4K and I agree that picture quality trumps smart features. But seriously they need to have some compunction when they want to charge relatively higher price and care that their product is all around better to deserve that price premium.

Q80R is $2161 on Samsung EPP. But if you want to spend your entire 2500 and you want Dolby Vision then Sony x950G 75 is still best choice. Except Dolby Vision Samsung should be much superior at a cheaper price.

BTW Sony also has eARC with DTS but Samsung has vrr and allm. And of course Samsung has much better dimming and much better reflection handling. Too much decision and confusion.

I'm sorry.... I don't understand most of all that.
I have a Denon/Klipsch home theater and need a gorgeous screen. Movies, football, and gaming are my interests. A channel on YouTube called Quantum TV states that the Sony 900f/950g have ashy blacks and blooming. The 75 900f I only $1798. Anything wrong with it?

This is a terrible price, you're too close to OLED territory.
