Anyone have experience with this on induction or have any alternatives? Getting a new cooktop and have to get rid of my old set and have no experience on induction. Thanks
These have magnetised stainless steel base for compatibility with all types of cooktops. One in-depth review site did Flir comparisons of several sets and these distribute every distribute heat exceptionally well.

You cant compare Anolon and Cuisinart. That's like comparing BMW and Honda

Went ahead and bought the non-stick set for my wife. Factoring in the additional 20% cash back at Macy's through Samsung Pay makes this pretty dang slick. Thanks OP.

Does that mean the Anolon will require expensive repairs within 5 years, an the Cuisinart will last for 10 years maintenance free? laugh out loud Went with the Anolon and picked it up today.

I have a Tramontina 8-piece Stainless Steel Tri-ply Clad Set, made in Brazil that I Bought for $109 last year.

Is the Anolon 12 piece Tri-Ply Clad set better then mine? I would be giving my current set to a relative if so.

Where is this set made, China?

My set is 18/10 and the Anolon is 18/0. I know the brand name could be better, but doesn't the 18/10 have nickel which is more expensive and less corrosive?

Anolon I believe is manufactured outside the US in Thailand and China, maybe other locations.

Is your set something like this? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Tramon...e/19581112
Per Tramontina website, "Tri-Ply Clad cookware is a triple layer of metal: aluminum sandwiched between 18/10 stainless steel throughout the whole body of the cookware" While that does contain 18/10 stainless steel construction, it does not contain copper which is one of the main components that sets these cookware sets apart from lower cost options.

The two sets that are still available with the free 3 piece bonus contain a full cap base with copper core layered between aluminum and a magnetized stainless steel plate for induction cooktop compatibility. The exterior and surface of these sets is comprised of hard anodized aluminum. So the issue of 18/10 vs 18/0 doesn't apply here.
side note: My favorite design choice on these sets are the flush rivets which provide a smooth cooking surface. Sadly this was not carried over to the stainless steel set but perhaps one day the surface rivets will be a thing of the past.
The stainless steel set no longer comes with the 3 piece bonus but also contains a full cap base with copper core layered between aluminum and a magnetized stainless steel plate for induction cooktop compatibility. The interior and surface of this set is comprised of 18/0 stainless steel which can more susceptible to some forms of corrosion and more resistant to other forms of corrosion when compared to 18/10.

Even other high end brands like All-Clad d5 will use18/0 stainless steel on the exterior and use 18/10 on the cooking surface. Copper is what causes a significant increase in price of a cookware set.

If you aren't interested in copper but still looking for another highly rated set, I would suggest taking a look at the Cuisinart MCP-12N Multiclad Stainless 12 Piece set that goes on sale for approx. $170 on occasion.

Hope this helps!

Would love to hear as well! Maybe doorbuster deal, or stacked with coupons? I'm not sure but I didn't find any mention of BBB having this set of sale for that price anywhere online. Almost seems to good to be true. Smilie

How do these compare in quality to allclad?

I recently purchased this exact set for the second time. Our first set lasted almost 10 years. This is a very solid brand. I'm not sure how it compares to All Clad, but i do know if you out the All Clad name on these, the cost would probably double. I believe this set is available in 3 colors. Keep in mind this is non-stick.

I don't believe that all-clad would sell these because it looks like these just have a disk on the bottom, rather than being fully clad. Fully clad cookware supposedly provides more even heating, including up the sides.
I agree with earthdogmonster. All-clad is clad all around. This set from Anolon is disc based. Mixed opinions on which is "better." One site mentioned with disc based, the sides of the vessel would be relatively "thinner" than the base since the disc only covers the base On high flame, your sides would be hotter than the base.

In what regards? Certainly not performance wise.
