The SmartThings Button from Samsung enables control of connected devices like lights, electronics, and small appliances. Additionally, you'll be able to adjust your thermostat and turn on your lights with one touch. The SmartThings app for iOS and Android enables monitoring and control of your connected devices. Requires SmartThings hub, SmartThings Wi-Fi, or compatible devices with SmartThings hub functionality (available separately).

I use mine on my bedstand at night to turn off all the lights in the apartment (I live in a small 2 bedroom.) It's easier to do a simple tap than bring up the hue app on my phone. In the morning I can double tap and it turns on my bedroom lights to dim so I can get ready without waking my wife.

I also have one next to the door to press as I leave to turn on my wifi plug to switch on my Wyze camera. Easy way for a cheap security system. Double tap it when I get home to turn it off.

Just use the classic app

No it is the panic button with 3 modes (tap, double tap, long push) and you can trigger different events e.g. one tap -> arm, long press -> trigger all sirens you have

Looks like a very tiny hub, that in probably 5 years will be a reality. The button actually works very well, I love mine
What do you use it for?

FYI - The multi-purpose sensor is on sale for $14.99, but you have to request them to send you the price (which then includes a link to purchase

These are great. Ordered two more. I use them to trigger different Hue scenes (or Hue + outlet-based accessory light combos). One per room. Easy for non-techno friends/family to operate too.

Bought 3 of these when they were at this price on Amazon 3 weeks ago.Tempted to get a couple more cause they are so convenient for controlling anything through the SmartThings app. I have smart vents in most rooms in the house and pushing a button at night next to your bed to adjust the flow (50% open vs 100% open) if needed is much better than having to talk or open the app... talked myself into it. Haha. 2 more.

In response to those asking what to use it for, it also includes a temperature sensor, which can then be incorporated into your smartthings automation.
