there's a special going on for 2 SVS subs right now. $400 for the sealed and $500 for the ported. If you have the $ and want a serious quality sub.. go w/ the SVS.

I'm confused why people aren't liking this post?
Seems like a good price.

I just received this today after ordering it last week at over $300. I watched Elysium. It's more boomy than punchy, if that makes. I'm going order from this deal and return the other.

How's this compared to the 12" Klipsch at Best Buy for $250 ?

Agreed with above. Buy a quality sub like Hsu or SVS and you won't regret it. These are components you will own for a long time, and the cost per day is negligible when you think about it. Buy quality!

A little warning, the dimensions on Adorama are incorrect for the HTS 12. Correct dimensions are HxWxD 18.5" x 17.12" x 18.11" or 47cm x 43.5cm x 46cm according to Polk site. HTS 10 seems correct

Also, these don't have hi-level inputs (speaker wire) in case that's a deal breaker. That's pretty common on home theatre subs but it is worth mentioning since some amps and stereo receivers don't have lfe or sub outs

Seems this is the best Black Friday deal this year its a shame they excluded s60 because their black friday sale price drop is marginal. Also s35 center should be in the range of 110-130$ for the black friday, current black friday sale for s35 is $169 which is nothing special. But anyway S series is the best bang for a buck. Klipsch has better sensitivity speakers but their black friday sale is almost fake. Thanks god Polk Audio made their sense giving to consumers solid black friday prices trough Adorama.

Yes. Typically your receiver can only handle 2 subs. adding more mediocre subs typically doesn't do alot. You want to start out with quality and add more quality if needed. There's open deal thread here on that sub. SVS carries some of the best subs reasonably accessible to consumers.

From what I've read, these HTS subs have come a long way compared to the older psw series. IMHO, these are one of the best bangs for the buck and you do get a lot of sub for these prices. I would skip the 10" and go for the 12". 2 of these for a total of $400+ tax...should be pretty nice for a home theater setup that focuses on movies.
