Great gun. Own one never had an issue, never jams and super easy to take apart and clean.

If only these kinds of post could still be in the deal form instead of the discussion forum, my search would have brought this up. Too late now. Frown

So true. It would even help if this forum was in the drop down like every other forum is (and would be included in general searches by default). To even see that this forum exists, you have to click on the main forums tab and go all the way to the bottom (which on most computers is off-screen). Most people don't do that, and don't know that this forum even exists.

I switched my search from "Deal Forums" to "Discussion Forums," which was only one click, and this came up. But you have to remember to switch your search, and I don't think deal alerts kick off for posts made in discussion forums, though I could be wrong. Just a bummer, as I found a great deal on my Shield 4 years ago because of the posts that were made in the regular Hot Deals forum.

Can the $50 gift card be used towards the purchase of the pistol?
If not, it's not $150 OTD.

You're right. Then again, you can't apply the MIR to the register either. The bottom line after all is done is
$250 + tax = 270.63 - 50 gc - 50 MIR
= $170.63

Not sure. The last time I saw the deal this good was when the gun first came on the market and there were screaming deals. Sorry you missed it

Looking for a protection gun and not much of a gun nut, but man the price is right.

Consider a Taurus G2C. Current cash price at Buds is $199 shipped. After rebate, $174.

I have a G2C and Shield, both in 9mm, like them equally. Both accurate, easy to shoot, and most importantly, reliable.

Only difference is the Shield has a nicer feeling trigger. The trigger isn't terrible, IMO better than Glocks. A few of my range buddies have shot the G2C, all liked it. To me it feels almost like a double stack Shield.

If you are interested in a self defense pistol, the G2C carries more rounds in the mag, but is not much thicker. So if you get a license to carry, it would work for that too.
