Wait? It's already on sale online and in store. I bought it and its soo buggy, not great range and terrible speeds. Firmware is so bad, having to reboot multiple times. Thinking about retuning it and going with the good ol trusted linksys.

The R7800 is actually 4x4 MIMO, this one is only 2x2 MIMO. If you do not have WiFi 6 devices, the speed of your commonly used device can only reach up to 867Mbps

Key specs to me: 160MHz channel, DFS bands

For 160MHz channel, it's somewhat a slightly upgraded R7800. (not for 80MHz channel however)

Is this really meant for 1,500 sq/ft home?

I mean, I have a AC68U, that works great in my 2,400 sq/ft home... seems strange to "upgrade" to Wifi6, with a router with lower recommended range.

I mean, I'm sure it can work throughout my home... just seems strange.

Also, after looking into it... Wifi6 isn't quite there yet. You're probably better off waiting until next year+ and skip all the bugs.

Then again, if you have no router at all at the moment, maybe this is it.

That's right for 80MHz channel;

Somehow i recall R7800 can only do 2x2 when using 160MHz

If you do not have WiFi 6 clients then do not upgrade. The illustration of the coverage on NETGEAR website is not that wide.
