I've had a Dyson ball purple for about 5 years now caught a great slick deal. I am not happy with it its completely over rated. The plastic parts start to fall apart or break. Contact Dyson and they act like they are doing a favor replacing broken parts, when they have a 5 year warranty. My Bissell from Amazon for $100 sucks harder IMHO.

What is the difference between Pro+ and Animal 2?? So many models and names and cannot find the differences.

Costco also has the Dyson Ball Animal Pro+ Upright Vacuum for $239.99 as well. I saw the Pro+ includes more tools than the regular Animal 2. Debating which is the better deal after the 5% cash back from chase using PayPal and 10% with a specific site, but you do get 2% with Costco executive and awesome return policy.

Have the same question. Do folks recommend this or the Animal Pro + from Costco?

I ended up just going with the Costco option. Can't beat their return policy and it came with a lot of tools standard.

The difference seems to be 306AW (this one) vs 270AW (Costco version). with the free tools at dyson direct, seems like both would end up to be similar at the same price.

The Costco version is not as good (lesser powered animal). I bought this one from kohls last week for $299 and thought it was a great deal! This is better!!

I also saw it says the bin is .55 gallon on the Pro + and .28 gallon on the animal 2. Also the maximum reach is 50ft on the animal 2 and 51ft on the Pro +. I wonder if you'd notice a difference in the suction power? The larger bin on the Pro + is a huge benefit.

Edit: Amazon says the bin is also .55 gallon on the Animal 2, which would make more sense.

I just bought the stick V8, and my wife wants something that will "basically rip the carpet out" in suction power -- I should cancel that order and get this one, right?

Terrible reviews on Amazon, there's a video of how ridiculous it is to push. I wish they'd bring back the DC14 already, that thing was a tank.

Oh god yes! We got the kohls deal earlier and all I can say is WOW. We cant hardly vaccuum our little rugs with it. It will eat them if we dont turn the agitator off. LOL
