I've been a big fan of Sonos since my first Sonos play1. Music sounds incredible. I have the 5.1 in my living room and it sounds great. My biggest gripe is Sonos does not support dts. I have issues playing my 4K library on Plex when the audio format is dts. I need to transcode to get the audio to work which lowers the resolution to 1080p

Just got this at Costco online for $180! People are saying it was a pricing error so you might want to try buying it now!

Total came out to $195 with CA tax scheduled to be delivered on Dec. 4th.

PS. $180 price will reflect upon check out. Good luck!
Confirmed. I ordered one from Costco this am, $180!+ NY tax = $206. Great deal!

Not sure if I want this since no subwoofer. Anyone care to speak to the quality of the bass? We are using a 2.1 computer speaker system that's 15+ years old but still works like a champ. I know that this can improve mids/highs quality but probably not the bass. I mostly use it for movies so bass quality/presence is very important.
Depends where you plan to put the sound bar. Bed room you don't need sub it's very bassy sounding already and you can adjust EQ I use it in my bedroom it's very loud and explosion sound will wake the neighbors.

Terrible WiFi radios, Sonos admits it. Poor RF shielding. No 5 GHz. All-around lousy.
Sounds like operator error

Nope. Rather, others luck out. Sonos admits, poor RF shielding (that's why they didn't include a mount for positioning underneath HDTV), failure to include alternative 5 GHz Wi-Fi where it's much less congested in dense areas, plus poor software coding that loses local connection.

The best Sonos Beam deal was on Prime Day where you could get a Beam for $369 with $100 Amazon card cash back. This, however, is still a good buy.

The Beam is smaller than the Playbar but supports features like HDMI+Arc and Airplay 2, and it also has newer drivers that make it sound nearly as good. So, which one should you buy? Beam or Playbar?

I trialed the Playbar for three months, and although it has a deeper and richer bass response as well as more volumatic oomph, it's fidelity and soundscape sounds the same to my ear. Moreover it's lack of Airplay 2 and HDMI+Arc support make it dramatically less functional for people that use their Sonos setup for music too—the Playbar actually nerfs down the Sonos Ones by disabling support Aurplay 2 support. Crazy right?

After fidgeting around with two Sonos Ones and an Apple TV for several months, I gave up. They don't reliably connect or stay connected with Airplay 2. You need an HDMI-enabled soundbar (such as the Beam) to anchor your setup. This is a must for a Sonos setup.

How does this compare to the Sonos One if I'm just looking to play music in my living room?
This is designed to be a sound bar. Just for music listening, you can certainly use it, but the One speakers are amazing. The price is also under 200 for the One. I would start there and see what you need going forward.

Very good price, $20 less than the advertised Black Friday price. I've had this sound bar since it came out and it's well worth the price. I have it in a medium size room and it handles all my media equally great.

The one thing that I do hate about it is, I couldn't get HDMI arc to work with my high end Samsung TV, and while Sonos was aware of the problem, they were absolutely no help and had no solution. So I sucked it up and just use optical, and it works, but it restricts the features.

Overall, I love it, but that's my only gripe.
Since hdmi arc doesn't work, what is your work around to get the sound from your TV to play on the beam?
