I have a 3a XL. Love this phone after using several others recently, including the LG v35, Moto Z3, and less recently Essential PH-1. Amazing camera, amoled screen, dual speakers, headphone, software, and I get two days of battery life (when not using too much YouTube and SD).

Though, why not go get the Pixel from Google Fi for $250? You have to make an account and activate, but you can cancel immediately and keep the unlocked phone.

I went from a pixel 2 XL to a pixel 3a XL. It is a little bit slower than the Pixel 2, and also the Pixel 3 since they have the same chip, but I strongly prefer this.

Primarily because the battery life is completely incredible. I'm not a power user, I only browse the internet, use it to track runs or spinning class, and email, OneNote, etc. One full charge of battery, according to the battery tracker, lasts me 2 days and 2 hour, 50 hours in total. That's with about 2.5-3 hours of SoT per day. I once watched 16 hours of downloaded YouTube videos (at low screen levels though) on a transatlantic flight with two layovers, and got home with 21% battery, after it had been out of the charger for a total of 26 hours. It's incredible.

After getting this I really have had to revise how I think about flagship phones. I used to always want the fastest I could get, and I didn't know just how much it impacted battery life. The reality for a user like me is that having a fast chip doesn't actually make any meaningful difference, but battery life does.

So if, app-wise, you're a casual user, I cannot recommend this phone enough.

I just got a Pixel 3a for myself and a Samsung A50 for my mom. Despite having a higher PPI, the budget Samsung blows it out of the water. Colors pop more, and most shockingly, is how dim the Pixel 3a's display really is. Indoors or in low light, it's not so devastating, but try to use the 3a outdoors, and you'll find yourself going to the settings thinking you can up the brightness.... only to find out it's already at max. Google really screwed on the display on an otherwise fine phone. I'm keeping it. I love the camera, I love the snappiness, I love the updates, and I love my headphone jack. So many pluses, but there is one huge con. And it's very noticable.

This is a good deal if you want a pixel with a headphone jack. Otherwise just go for the 3. I personally prefer the headphone jack and that's why I went with the S10.

The 3a/3a XL is the hot phone this Black Friday. everyone's chopping a little more off for a little extra shopping a little more. It's Google's most popular pixel device. The market doesn't lie high end specs load of mid-range price, the 3a defines that

I ordered pixel 3a from b&h on 11/17 but still in back order status. Never trust available in 1 to 3 business days if you are in a hurry to get the new phone
