I would say this seems like it should be $170 or less (if it was 1080p instead of 720p it could be hot at $200), but I haven't found any SD threads on this model below $200.

edit: this configuration anyway, I did find mention of an slightly slower a6-powered Inspiron 11 3000 [digitaltrends.com] series for $150 in August.

I think this laptop would be a very frustrating user experience. It's running off a slow spinner HDD with low amounts of ram, a slow processor, and a terrible screen.

I'd look elsewhere for just a little more money.

Without looking at the manual, I'd say it is likely since it's a 2.5" spinner. Those are generally easy to get to and replace with the same form factor SSD.

I would also like to know if we can replace the hard disk with an SSD

that and 720p screen seem to be the only downsides

I like this as a possible replacement for a tablet or e-reader.

Got this laptop, 1TB Crucual MX500 SSD for $80 and 8GB Crucial DDR4-2666 for $25. All went together no issues. Reinstalled Windows 10 Home from flash drive and everything works without additional drivers. WiFi, touchpad, touchscreen, tablet mode...everything works. Before installing the SSD, the stock HDD was a major bottleneck. After installing everything, CPU is now the main bottleneck but feels whole lot snappier than stock. Search "Dell Inspiron 11 3168" on Youtube helped alot. This was one of the easier laptops to open up and upgrade.
